Week Ending November 14th, 2008
Last week I was at the National Association of REALTORS annual convention in Orlando, Florida. I snickered on Wednesday the 5th that Des Moines was getting its first snow for the year. Afterall, I was in FLORIDA! When I arrived back home on Tuesday, Nov 11th, I stood shivering outside the doors of the Des Moines International Airport waiting for my son to pick me up…. in short sleeves…. in 38 degree temps… Yes, I paid for my snickering.
It seems like we went directly from Summer to Winter AGAIN this year…. it’s an ominous feeling because last winter started this way. I’m hoping that this isn’t a sign of things to come. The picture above was taken by my daughter, Lindsay last Friday. She works in West Des Moines at Farmers Mutual Hail http://www.fmh.com.
