You may have noticed that my logo has changed this week. I’m back under the RE/MAX balloon after over a year and a half operating as Iowa Real Estate Solutions. On Monday, May 16th, I joined RE/MAX Opportunities in Ankeny as General Manager/Broker. I’m looking forward to growing the company and being able to focus my education and marketing efforts on this group of great agents.
What will happen with my real estate statistics and monthly newsletter? It will remain in place and with a few minor changes, the newsletter will be delivered monthly and my stats will be updated weekly. My personal commitment is to help make sense of the real estate market in the Des Moines area so that we can all benefit from knowledge of how Iowa differs from all the national news you hear. We ARE better off than much of the country and I personally believe we will be one of the states to lead the real estate industry back to recovery.
Thank you all who have supported me in my educational classes this past year and a half. It’s been fun getting to know all of you. Now let’s take a look at this weeks stats.
I think the biggest news this week is that Pendings are back on the rise. Click on the image below to see the full PDF report. Near the end of April there was a stall in Pendings that lasted about 10 days. But the week of May 9th was like someone turned a light switch back on and Pendings have taken off again! In fact, the number of Pendings on the books are currently at 1,521. In less than two weeks, we should be ahead of 2010 Pendings compared to the same time last year. This will look very good in the media!
